The popular funfair at Modhesh World is even bigger this year with almost forty rides and about twenty skill games. The rides that were a rage last year are back with many new thrilling additions. ‘The Disco’, which was a hot favourite of grown-ups last year, is back and so are the popular ‘Pirate Ship’ and ‘Dashing Cars’ that are a must in any funfair. ‘The Street Fighter’ is a thrilling new ride for adolescents and adults. ‘The Sizzler’, ‘Over Ride’, ‘Tagada’ and ‘Dubai Bounce’ are other new rides that have attracted the fancy of most visitors.

Salim Saad, one of the excited visitors on the Tagada said, “It was thrilling. I cannot get enough of these rides. The faster and the more dangerous they are the better.” said Salim Saad as he came down the stairs at the end of the thrilling ride.

The children have an even bigger list of exciting rides to look out for. ‘The Fire Brigade’ is a new ride with little fire engines and where children can act as firemen on the rescue. Complete with a water spray, a ladder and a mock structure of a building on fire, the game is aptly located outside the Civil Defense Zone.

‘The Kangaroos’ is another appealing ride for children when in motion mimics a bunch of kangaroos jumping. Paddle Boats, Canoes and the Water Walker are exciting water rides. One can explore the winding waterways paddling wooden boats or literally walk on water on the Water Walker.

Most of the skill games are designed for the young and the old and provide a platform for fun and family bonding. The games have been structured to ensure that nearly everyone is a winner. However, there are a few games that are specially designed for the youngsters and are a true test of skills.

“Blockbuster is fun and it is even more fun when Khalid cannot win. Then he cannot tease me and I can tease him as much as I want,” said Ayesha Salem, as she and Khalid Jasim played the exciting game.

Five year old Yadur Sood a resident of Dubai said, “Modhesh is so amazing and the games here are so much fun. I wanted my friend Yami who is visiting us to enjoy the games here and so we came to Modhesh World.”

H. B. Leisure, DWTC, Coco-Cola, Magic Planet, Emirates, Masafi and Union Co-operative are the sponsor s of Modhesh World.

Modhesh World doors are open from 10.00am to 10:00pm (Saturday to Wednesday), 10:00am to midnight (Thursdays), and 3:00pm to midnight on Fridays. Tickets to the venue are priced at AED 10 for adults and AED 15 for children with numerous free zones and exciting activities.
