The Rotary Club Of Dubai To Help Transform Lives And Make Dreams Real With The ’Children With Hearts’ Charity Dinner

“The Children With Hearts” charity is the theme to this year’s Charity Gala Dinner organized by the Rotary Club of Dubai, under the patronage of HH Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, scheduled to be held on Friday April 17 2009, in the Joharah ballroom at Madinat Jumeirah. This prestigious black tie charity dinner will help make dreams come true for children with cardiac diseases.

The special guest for the evening is someone who has saved thousands of lives across the globe through his tireless dedication to cardiac surgery. Sir Magdi Yacoub has performed more transplants than anyone else in the world, and his Chain of Hope charity saves the lives of children across the globe, every day, by performing vital heart and lung transplant operations. Set up in 1995 to provide children suffering from life-threatening heart disease with the medical and surgical treatment that they do not have access to in their own country, the charity has helped many hospitals around the world develop their skills and services to help children in need. All the surgeons, medical staff and nurses working for the Chain of Hope do it on a voluntary basis, thereby building up a strong ‘chain’ of volunteers across the globe.

Sir Magdi leads most of the missions himself, and though his charity costs more than a million US Dollars a year to run, this has not stopped him from reaching out to more underprivileged children in remote corners of the globe, and create a better tomorrow for those less fortunate than us. Sir Magdi’s charity needs all the support it can get, and the Children With Hearts event offers the ideal opportunity to reach out and help heal the world.

Sponsorship opportunities for the event are aplenty, from Platinum sponsorships that make you the sole main sponsor of the event to Corporate Table Sponsorships that give your organization the opportunity to wine and dine with the VIP’s present. As a valued sponsor, this upscale event, along with our innovative promotions leading up to and following the event, will present you a niche marketing opportunity as well as help you gain public visibility and new business prospects. It will further establish you as an active patron of the philanthropic local community, while joining an elite club with rich networking opportunities. More importantly, it gives you the chance to make a difference to the lives of children suffering from a disease they cannot fight alone.

The event is being organized by the Rotary Club of Dubai, an organization that has gained an enviable reputation for supporting and promoting humanitarian causes. Formed in 2002, the Club has achieved much in a very short time, and continues to broaden its scope, size and reach with each passing year. By using highly ethical standards and striving hard to imbibe the ideals of service in all its members, the Rotary Club of Dubai has a clear cut mission to put service above self, and measures its success by the growing number of lives it has made a difference to.
The event will include entertainment and an auction hosted by Christies.
