Shoppers all over the city are taking advantage of the promotions and offerings of Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) 2009. Al Ghurair City, a key sponsor of DSS 2009, is one of the most visited shopping malls in Dubai and is offering shoppers attractive discounts to look forward to this DSS.

According to Chitta Ranjan, an Indian resident whose family is based in Dubai, “I like to take my family to Al Ghurair City. It’s close to home, very convenient and safe for my family. Here, my son Ashutosh can play around the children’s area while my wife and I enjoy the discounts in the stores.”

The same sentiment was shared by Arif Ali from Pakistan. He said, “My children are getting bored just sitting at home and watching television. Going to Al Ghurair City is the perfect answer to their need to unwind. DSS events in this mall entertain them very much and they want to come back every week.”

On the other hand, Abdul Latif Al Abdullah from Kuwait could not come back easily to the mall but said, “We were here for vacation. We are enjoying Dubai and the DSS. The discounts were amazing. The mall is very lively; nothing to ask for but more and more discounts.”

Another group who definitely enjoyed discounts were a group of Filipino friends who shopped at various stores in Al Ghurair. Christian Ramirez said, “It is the best time to buy clothes. The discounts offered are really good. We were just roaming around the mall to check the DSS treats but we could not help but buy. Christian Tolentino also felt the same. “DSS is the best time for me to buy gifts for my family and friends. I’m stocking up since I need to bring homecoming gifts to them. Discounts this year save me a lot of money. It helps me a lot especially now that we need to tighten our belts due to the financial crisis.”

Imran Khan and his wife Sadia have been living in Dubai for almost 15 years so DSS was not really new to them. However Imran said, “DSS is getting better and better. Every year they offer new things. Here in Al Ghurair, the stores are offering wide variety of items that are open to discounts. There are also family shows and events that add up to the whole summer entertainment.”

The twelfth edition of Dubai Summer Surprises will run till August 14th.
