SEGA Republic Rewards Winners Of Spin N Win Carnival With Malta Holiday Packages

SEGA Republic, the largest of its kind indoor theme park attraction in the Middle East region located in The Dubai Mall, rewarded the winners of its hugely successful ‘Spin N Win’ Carnival with holiday packages to Malta, courtesy Malta Tourism Authority.
SEGA Republic, managed by Emaar Retail LLC, is one of the most popular leisure attractions in Dubai that appeals to the young and young at heart. The 76,000 sq ft adventure zone hosted the month-long carnival in association with The Address Dubai Mall, Reel Cinemas, California Pizza Kitchen, Yo! Sushi and Gelato DiMino.
Visitors who spent AED 200 at SEGA Republic had the opportunity to try the ‘Spin the Win’ game and win an array of instant prizes based on colour codes. Weekly prizes of a holiday package for two to Malta were sponsored by the Malta Tourism Authority. Other prizes included hotel stay vouchers, meal vouchers, movie tickets, combo tickets, SEGA Republic merchandise and lots more.

No Parking Fees On New Years Holiday, Fish Market Excluded

Roads & Transport Authority – Manal Khalid: The Parking Department, Traffic & Roads Agency, Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), announced that RTA decided to exempt the use of all paid parking zones across the Emirate of Dubai to mark the start of the New Year i.e. on Saturday 01/01/2011 and the parking fees structure will be activated as of the following day (Sunday 02/01/2011). In the meantime, the Agency confirmed that the paid parking zone of Deira Fish Market will NOT be exempted during this holiday in order to provide a parking space for the Fish Market visitors, particularly noting that the area will be busy with motorists.
Engineer Maitha bin Udai, CEO of Traffic & Roads Agency, said: "This step comes in the context of RTA attention to ensure smooth mobility of residents and visitors of Dubai during official holidays; which in turn reflects the continuous care of the RTA for the public and demonstrates the sense of responsibility towards visitors and inhabitants of the Emirate. The ultimate objective of the Decision is to realize RTA vision of providing Safe & Smooth Transport for All through facilitating the means of mobility and the movement of motorists during official holidays".
Bin Udai called on motorists to avoid parking their vehicles on pavement or at the tale of other vehicles; an offence that invokes penalties against offenders as provided for in the law. She called on parking users to properly use the parking lots; which are part of the infrastructure provided in the first place for the comfort of the public, including citizens, residents, visitors and tourists.

South African Tourism, the organization responsible for the marketing and promotion of South Africa, has unveiled a new holiday brochure entitled “I Luv South Africa” and a website www.southafricaholidays.com for the Travel Trade and holidaymakers in Middle East. The brochure and website launch are part of a trade road show in Dubai by South African Tourism in association with Sun International, Etihad Airways and Tourism Point.
The Middle Eastern Trade Show event, held at Dubai’s Business Village Conference hall, featured a one-day trade workshop. The aim of the workshop was to bring together trade partners in the UAE together with South African Provincial Tourism authorities to further strengthen and identify opportunities to sell destination South Africa to Middle East travellers.
Commenting on the brochure and the website launch Mr. Phumi Dhlomo, Regional Director for Africa & Middle East at South African Tourism, indicated that there is clear evidence that South Africa is gaining popularity as a tourist destination within the Middle Eastern Travel Trade and holidaymakers. “We have witnessed an upward climb of visitors from Middle East to South Africa in the recent past. The number of visitors from the Middle East especially from the Arab Traveler segments has been increasing,”

The trade road show, the launch of I Luv South Africa holidays brochure coupled with www.southafricaholidays.com are all part of our continuous efforts in facilitating the increase in tourist arrivals to South Africa from the Middle East,” adds Dhlomo
The website will also allow travellers and trade partners to view products from the brochure and research their holidays as they will be able to view regularly updated special holiday offers. “Additionally, consumers will be able to email for a quote or to book or download the new 2011 brochure online,” says Sujith Subramanian, General Manager Tourism Point LLC – the Africa specialized destination management company in Dubai, who owns and manages the website and the holiday brochure.

To also mark the launch of the brochure and the website a fashion show was held. It consisted of 18 contestants selected from over 200 applicants from 6000 travel professionals in UAE. The former Miss South Africa 2010, Nicole Flint, was also there to lend her support for the fashion show and South African Tourism’s launch of the brochure and the website. As part of the fashion show the contestants competed for three coveted titles, including “the iconic face of South Africa”.

Parking Fees Exempted During Eid Holiday, Fish Market Excluded RTA

In sharing celebrations of the blessed Eid al-Adha, the Public Transport Agency, Roads & Transport Authority (RTA), announced that RTA has decided to exempt the use of all paid parking zones across the Emirate of Dubai starting from Monday 9 Dhul Hajjah 1431H corresponding to 15 November 2010 and continue through the Eid holiday such that parking fees will be reactivated as of 14 Dhul Hajjah 1431H corresponding to 20 November 2010. Meanwhile, the parking space of Deira Fish Market will NOT be exempted during the said holiday period in order to provide parking spaces for visitors of the Market.
Mr/ Adel Al Marzooki, Director of Parking, Traffic & Roads Agency, said: “This step comes in the context of RTA attention to ensure smooth mobility of residents and visitors of Dubai during holidays and religious events; which in turn reflects the continuous care of the RTA for the public and demonstrates the sense of responsibility towards the visitors and inhabitants of the Emirate. No doubt it is a gesture that gives a practical demonstration of RTA vision of providing Safe & Smooth Transport for All through facilitating the means of mobility and the movement of motorists during official holidays and religious events”.
Meanwhile RTA calls on parking users in Dubai Emirate to properly use the parking lots; which are part of the infrastructure provided in the first place for the comfort of the public, including citizens, residents, visitors and tourists.
RTA also calls on motorists to avoid parking on road pavements, or behind parked vehicles; a practice which will trigger fines as provided for in the law against offenders.

It was announced by Roads & Transport Authority (Traffic & Roads Agency) that parking spaces in all paid parking zones in the emirate of Dubai will be free on Sunday 19 July 2009 to mark the celebrations of Al Isra’a Wal Mi’raaj Holiday.Adel Mohamed Al Marzouqi Director of Right of Way Dept, Acting Director of Parking Dept at RTA’s Traffic & Roads Agency, confirmed that parking of vehicles in the parking spaces of the RTA will be free of charge only on Sunday 19 July 2009; which is an official holiday to all government, semi-government organizations and private companies across the nation.“This step comes as part of RTA’s efforts to provide every means of comfort & smooth mobility to inhabitants and visitors of Dubai during holidays and events. It demonstrates the ongoing care of the RTA for various social cross-sections and the sense of responsibility towards residents & visitors of the emirate. No doubt it is a practical gesture reflecting the vision of the RTA to provide safe & smooth transport for all through providing convenient and smooth mobility to motorists during holidays and religious events” said Al Marzouqi.In the meantime, RTA calls upon the public, particularly motorists in the emirate of Dubai, to ensure optimum utilization of these parking spaces; as they are part of the infrastructure that have been provided to serve citizens, residents, visitors and tourists in the first place. Motorists are also requested not to park their vehicles on pavements, nor at the back of other vehicles; as such a practice will be subject to fines, as provided for in the applicable rules.On this occasion; which is celebrated by Arabs & Moslems alike all over the world, RTA would wish to extend best greetings and wishes to Arab & Moslem worlds, and pray to God Almighty to bring them prosperity & success.
