Modhesh World, the region’s largest indoor edutainment venue, opens its doors to welcome families from across UAE and the GCC. Spread across 37,000 square metres, the venue will host entertainment events and activities and will run until August 7th.

Modhesh World features around 40 exciting themed-zones with numerous highlights including a huge fun fair, a scooter zone, the Modhesh Magical Forest, a 4D cinema display, an inflatable zone, magic planet zone, and a mini zoo. Soccer fans will also have much to look forward to as Modhesh World will relay live telecasts of the 2010 FIFA World Cup on a giant screen located at the Sports Zone.

Laila Suhail said, “Modhesh World is one of the most successful initiatives launched by DEPE. The region’s biggest indoor edutainment venue attracted 4.5 million visitors of various nationalities in the past 10 years proving its increasing popularity year after year. DEPE is committed to developing Modhesh World as a family destination and elevating its offerings to meet the expectations of all its visitors.”

“This year, DEPE has developed a unique mechanism to interact with visitors and gauge feedback making it possible for us to further develop innovative entertainment initiatives that cater to various visitor segments and choices,” added Laila.

Children Summer Funfair, a show of diverse circus skills featuring acrobats, jugglers, contortionists, and clowns, is the stage highlight of the first week at Modhesh World. Running from June 10th to June 16th, the show is one of many that children can enjoy throughout Dubai Summer Surprises.

Modhesh, the ever-smiling mascot will also be present at the venue to welcome children and families. During a recent tour of Dubai Festival City, Modhesh met with several children who were eagerly waiting to visit Modhesh World.

Suhail Mohammad, from UAE was very pleased with the early opening of Modhesh World this year, “I go there to see Modhesh every year,” he said. “I love going to Modhesh world, I spend a lot of time at the sports zone; it’s my favourite,” he added.

Emily, a-five-year-old said excitedly, “I love Modhesh, I visited him so many times the past year, I can’t wait to be the first one to go Modhesh World this year.”

Khaled Al Hashemi from UAE said, “It’s best to go to Modhesh World with your family and friends. It’s much more fun when you have someone to play with in all the zones, sometimes I see my school friends there and we spend the whole day having fun.”

The father of Dana and Rayana al Mosabi regretted not visiting Modhesh World before, “I live in Abu Dhabi, and I have heard a lot about Modhesh World and I will surely bring my girls this time around. The idea of a covered venue that mixes between education and entertainment with a lot of attraction is very appealing and a clever choice for families.”

Upon seeing Modhesh, Yousif and his brother Abdulla screamed with joy, stormed the area and greeted Modhesh with a great deal of enthusiasm. Their father was elated. “They kept asking me to go to Modhesh World several times each year. This year, I was hesitant as it would conflict with the FIFA World Cup schedule, but now that I know that the matches are being shown, it will be a perfect venue for me and my children.”

Zinya, Yang Wi, Izaac and Katchita Tongul from the Philippines rushed through the area to greet Modhesh with hugs and cheers. Yang Wi was the happiest. “Modhesh World is the place with lots of games and fun zones. I love going and painting there, I want to go there”, and when the father assured them that they would be going next Friday, it was more cheers for them.

Milan Bos from Holland struggled to let go of his mom’s hands and ran to Modhesh to hug him too. “There is a secret charm that Modhesh enjoys with kids, Milan just adores him. I really can’t wait to take him there again. Hopefully we will make it on Thursday for the opening,” said his mother.
