With Dubai being the fashion capital of the GCC, it’s no surprise that Rouge Couture, Dubai’s “Dare to Wear” Couture Abayas, would open their Flagship Boutique in this fabulous “City of Life”. Earlier this month, Rouge Couture celebrated the launch of their grand opening with the public.

Stepping into Rouge Couture is like walking into another world of Emirati fashion, one that is unique and over the top. Every square inch of the boutique itself is focused on detail and making a statement. The zebra and pink wallpaper and black velvet with diamante studded mirrors perfectly depict what Rouge Couture’s style is about. It’s already been nicknamed ‘Masion de la Mode’ by one of the guests who attended the opening.

Sara Al Madani, Co-Founder of Rouge Couture says, “We really put a lot of effort into this boutique and it has been challenging, but with every obstacle comes a great triumph, and I feel the opening of this boutique is proof of that.”

Her father gave her a warm congratulating speech at the opening recognizing his daughter’s hard work and struggles. Sara continues “Now that it’s finally open I hope that people will come to our boutique not only to shop, but to pass by, sit and relax. I’ve always wanted my clients to feel like they’re at home and a part of our family, after all, we wouldn’t be where we are today without their support and I’m grateful for that.”

In 2007, Sara Al Madani and Apple Wang decided to create a unique trend in Abayas, one that collaborated Arabian and Chinese design. Apple explains, “the idea is simple, use the best techniques to tailor the designs with some of the highest quality fabrics in the market, mix that together with an environment that is welcoming, creative and inspiring, and you get Rouge Couture.”

The innovative designs of Rouge Couture are simple yet elegant. Apple comments, “One size fits all, but our tailors are happy to make any adjustments necessary, should the client request. If a client feels that a certain design is a bit too risqué, then we can add pieces that are adjustable.”

With interesting names like “Chic Station” and “Women’s Lounge” the Abayas at Rouge Couture are making more than just a statement, it’s creating a new wave of Abayas. Sara says, “We want to create beautiful designs that will make the women in you feel more elegant, classy and trendy while dressed in her traditional Abaya.”

For now Rouge Couture has three locations within the UAE: Ajman, Sharjah and now in Dubai. They have also launched their online shopping site, where they can ship internationally and they have already serviced clients in the UK and Europe, USA and Canada, North Africa, South Africa, Singapore, Malaysia and the GCC.

Rouge Couture currently offers customized uniquely designed couture abayas and jelabeyas for all their “Dare to Wear” fashionistas!
