Stage Set For Arab And Iranian Pop Stars To Perform During ’Eid In Dubai’

The Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment is bringing some of the best known Arab and Iranian singers in a three-day spectacular concert as part of Eid in Dubai . A total of eight Arab singers and six Iranian pop stars will take the stage to thrill music lovers during Eid.

In a two-day concert at the Madinat Arena on September 10 and September 11, Eid in Dubai brings six Arab pop sensations to the stage. Fadel Shaker, Elissa, Abadi Johar, Hussein Al Jasmi, Mona Amrsha, and Ruwaida Attiya are lined-up to entertain audiences in a spectacular performance this Eid. While Abadi Johar, Mona Amrsha, and Hussein Al Jasmi perform on September 10, Fadel Shaker, Elissa, and Ruwaida Attiya will take the stage on September 11. Saudi singer Abadi Johar is performing in UAE after a gap of almost 14 years.

Additionally, renowned Arab singers Fares Karam and Shaza Hasson will perform in a mega concert from 9:30pm onwards on September 12th at Al Bustan Rotana. The Dubai World Trade Centre is the venue for a scintillating Iranian concert on September 10th featuring Iranian pop-stars Andy, Afshin, Sepideh, and Erfan. VIP tickets are priced at AED 500 and regular seats at AED 365. The following day on September 11, Iranian artists Benyamin and Ali Ashabi take the stage for yet another concert. Tickets are priced at AED 499 for VIP and AED 299 for regular seats. Tickets are available at Virgin MEGASTORE and at the venue.
 

English Band Keane Set To Perform To Sell-Out Crowds

English piano rock band Keane are all set to wow crowds at the Madinat Arena on July 8, 2009, in their first ever concert in the Middle East. The show is part of Dubai Summer Surprises events for this year. The overwhelming popularity of the band is evident from the fact that all tickets for the show have been sold out. The concert begins at 9pm.Known for using the piano as their lead instrument instead of guitars, Keane has stood out from most conventional rock bands and have seen a string of successes since they first started out as the Lotus Eaters in 1995. Their latest album Perfect Symmetry has been a hit with fans all over the world reaching number one on the UK Albums Chart and number 7 on the US Billboard 200. Fans can catch band members Tim Rice-Oxley, Tom Chaplin, and Richard Hughes perform some of their well-known hits including the award-winning song from the self-titled album Perfect Symmetry.
 

Bob Arno, Professor Of Pickpocketing, To Perform In Dubai This DSS

The World’s only legal pickpocket, Bob Arno, will let loose his lightning fast fingers to perform his maiden comedy show in Dubai during this Dubai Summer Surprises. Bob Arno will enthrall audiences with his uncanny knack of stealing neckties, suspenders, glasses, belts, other pocket contents, and watches, in front of audiences during his only show on July 3 at the Safinah Ballroom, Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The show begins at 9pm.

Time Magazine has called Bob Arno “the World’s foremost expert on the techniques of first-rank ‘wires,’(the slang term for pickpockets). Years of research and first-hand observation of street scenarios have made him an authority frequently consulted by police, security experts, and television producers.

Bob artfully blends the comedy and tragedy of thievery in his outrageous presentations. Illustrated with demonstrations and brought to life with his unique video, he explores and exposes the methods and motivation of street thieves and con artists. The artist’s show during DSS will be his first such commercial performance in the Middle East.

Bob Arno is a speaker, entertainer, author, and special lecturer to law enforcement agencies. With his wife, Bambi Vincent, he is also co-author of the book: Travel Advisory: How to Avoid Thefts, Cons, and Street Scams.
