Neapolitan Opera Stars Set To Perform In Italian Opera Gala At DUCTAC

DUCTAC has a treat in store for opera fans on 20th January as two acclaimed International Opera stars perform at the Centrepoint Theatre. Italian Opera Gala will feature established International Tenor, Francesco Malapena, who will be arriving in Dubai from his native Naples especially for this show, fresh from his recent acclaimed performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall. Joining him will be fellow Neapolitan, Soprano Monica De Rosa McKay, who studied with the maestro Luciano Pavarotti and currently resides in Dubai. They will be accompanied on the piano by the well known performer and composer David Lesser.

The Italian Opera Gala is a wonderful opportunity to hear a wide selection of music from the great Italian operatic masterpieces – music of great beauty, drama and romance. The Arias, songs and duets performed will include pieces from the operas of Bellini, Donizetti, Puccini, Verdi, Catalini, Leoncavallo and Tosti.

With 2011 just around the corner, DONE Events announces the first of their events for the coming season and Dubai concert goers are in for a real treat. Starting with Gulf Bike Week February 10th -12th and a monthly event series called ‘Livin’ the Music’ as well as other blockbuster shows, DONE Events will produce a range of concerts appealing to everyone living in the UAE and beyond.

Gulf Bike Week 2011 will be held at Dubai Festival City over three days and will feature daily bike exhibitions, stunt bike shows, entertainment and a special Rolling Stone Magazine stage with local and regional bands performing. Following the daily activities the 15,000 capacity Gulf Bike Week concert arena will feature full live performances by top international artists Pharrell Williams with his band N*E*R*D, Mike Posner and Amy Winehouse!!!

AKON To Perform Live In Dubai

International music star Akon is coming to Dubai for a concert organized by Sanguine Solutions in association with Music Plus. The one off concert is scheduled for Friday, Dec 3rd, 2010 at the Dubai World Trade Center Saeed Halls 1, 2 & 3 and expected to draw a crowd of around 10,000 people with a segregated area for 2,000 youth under 21.

“We are delighted to confirm that the deal to bring international music star Akon to Dubai shores is already sealed. This would be Akon’s fourth performance in Dubai, which is immediately after the release of his new album AKONIC. The concert is expected to be a lot more electrifying and sensational than the previous performances in Dubai and we promise it to be the best and the most memorable”, said the organisers.

Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum artist Akon’s worldwide sales top 7 million units. He has had international acclaim with hits such as “Smack That”, “I Wanna Love You” and “Don’t Matter”. Stage Set For Arab And Iranian Pop Stars To Perform During ’Eid In Dubai’

The Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment is bringing some of the best known Arab and Iranian singers in a three-day spectacular concert as part of Eid in Dubai . A total of eight Arab singers and six Iranian pop stars will take the stage to thrill music lovers during Eid.

In a two-day concert at the Madinat Arena on September 10 and September 11, Eid in Dubai brings six Arab pop sensations to the stage. Fadel Shaker, Elissa, Abadi Johar, Hussein Al Jasmi, Mona Amrsha, and Ruwaida Attiya are lined-up to entertain audiences in a spectacular performance this Eid. While Abadi Johar, Mona Amrsha, and Hussein Al Jasmi perform on September 10, Fadel Shaker, Elissa, and Ruwaida Attiya will take the stage on September 11. Saudi singer Abadi Johar is performing in UAE after a gap of almost 14 years.

English piano rock band Keane are all set to wow crowds at the Madinat Arena on July 8, 2009, in their first ever concert in the Middle East. The show is part of Dubai Summer Surprises events for this year. The overwhelming popularity of the band is evident from the fact that all tickets for the show have been sold out. The World’s only legal pickpocket, Bob Arno, will let loose his lightning fast fingers to perform his maiden comedy show in Dubai during this Dubai Summer Surprises. Bob Arno will enthrall audiences with his uncanny knack of stealing neckties, suspenders, glasses, belts, other pocket contents, and watches, in front of audiences during his only show on July 3 at the Safinah Ballroom, Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The show begins at 9pm.

Time Magazine has called Bob Arno “the World’s foremost expert on the techniques of first-rank ‘wires,’(the slang term for pickpockets). Years of research and first-hand observation of street scenarios have made him an authority frequently consulted by police, security experts, and television producers.
