’Eid In Dubai’ Readies To Organize Back-To-School Exhibition And Funfair At Airport Expo Dubai

Airport Expo Dubai is all set to host a back-to-school exhibition and a funfair as part of ‘Eid in Dubai’ festivities to mark Eid Al Fitr. Organised by the Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment (DEPE), ‘Eid in Dubai’ aims at bringing various resident nationalities together to celebrate Eid and the venue will be just one of many entertainment destinations planned as part of the occasion. In addition to the exhibition, DEPE is also putting up an extensive funfair featuring rides, games, and much more for children.

The back-to-school exhibition, organized by Concept Brands Trading, will be held from September 9th to September 18th between 10am and 10pm at the East Hall of the Expo. Some of the best known brands in school stationery such as Pelikan, Staedtler, 3M, and Touchmate will be part of the display. While the focus is on stationery, visitors can browse through a wide range of products such as laptops, computer accessories, uniforms, and books, with discounts of between 30 and 70%.

The Expo will also be the venue for a massive funfair at the Central Hall. Spread across a wide area, the funfair features rides, skill games, redemption games, a soft play area, an inflatable zone, and Play-Station zone. Aimed at attracting children and families and creating an exciting family experience, entrance to the funfair will be free and to celebrate the spirit of Eid, ride tickets will be priced reasonably.
 

Modhesh World Readies To Open 37,000 Sq. Metres Of Entertainment On June 10

Modhesh World, the region’s biggest indoor edutainment venue and a main attraction of the 13th edition of Dubai Summer Surprises, is all set to open its doors this summer on Thursday, June 10. Running until August 7th, Modhesh World features around forty themed zones and plenty of entertainment options for children, teenagers, and grown-ups alike.

Attractions for this year include a huge fun fair, a scooter zone, the Modhesh Magical Forest, a 4D cinema display, an inflatable zone, magic planet zone, and a mini zoo, in addition to numerous other entertainment areas. Soccer fans will also have much to look forward to as Modhesh World will relay live telecasts of the 2010 FIFA World Cup on giant screens located at the Sports Zone.

Yousif Mubarak, Chief Operating Officer of the Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment said, “Modhesh World is synonymous with family entertainment during DSS and over the years, it has grown to become a destination by itself, given the fact that it attracted around 500,000 visitors over a span of 65 days in 2009. Our endeavour every year is to bring innovative and exciting entertainment to Modhesh World and this aspect will be visible this year as well.”

“Apart from emphasizing the quality of entertainment at Modhesh World, we also want to highlight the fact that Modhesh World is affordable, secure, and most of all, set in entirely air-conditioned surroundings making it all more the enjoyable for families,” he added.

Yousif also stated that ticket prices haven’t changed from last year and remain the same at AED 10 for adults and AED 15 for children with numerous free zones to choose from. The venue will be open from 10am – 10 pm between Saturdays and Wednesdays, 10am to midnight on Thursdays, and from 3pm to midnight on Fridays.

Some of the biggest entertainment companies are part of Modhesh World this year including key sponsors magic planet and HB LEISURE. Dubai World Trade Centre, Coca Cola, Emirates, masafi, and UNION COOP are the other key sponsors of Modhesh World.

Zone highlights
Horse & Camel Riding and Mini Zoo
Modhesh World has created a special zone where kids can ride on horses, camels, and ponies. There are also plenty of other cute animals the Mini Zoo which is a first at Modhesh World. The zone is safe and supervised by trained personnel.

Soft Play Plus
The biggest and most exciting Toddler Play Zone in the UAE, this zone is over 500 square metres of ultra-safe soft play with every imaginable kind of climbing and tumbling devices, a ballroom, slides, and a mountain of educational toys from the cuddly to the interactive.
