Modhesh World – The Region’s Largest Indoor Entertainment Venue, Opens Today

Modhesh World, the UAE’s unparalleled entertainment extravaganza opens its doors today (June 11) to welcome families from all across the region to experience all the thrilling new concepts, incredible educational interactive exhibits, spectacular events and entertainment plus many prize-winning surprises at this year’s edition of the Dubai Summer Surprises.“Dubai Shopping Festival Office is thrilled to present the region’s largest indoor theme park – Modhesh World. Modhesh World has established a zoning system that will make the whole trip to the largest indoor theme park in the region an even more customer-friendly experience. Each zone offers a variety of interactive entertainment and educational activities that compliment each other completely.

New Zones and Activities – Modhesh World is divided into the East, West and Central Zones with lots of activities going on in each area.West Zone
In-Motion Kid’s Gym – Incorporates a variety of interactive set-ups including video games and exercise – aptly called ‘Exergaming’. The zone provides enjoyment and hours of fun for children.
Giant Playroom – Interactive and amusing area complete with Drum Classes, pillow fights and parties, under the supervision of a specialized team.
Horse Riding – Get up close with miniature horses and see the fun Animated Talking Horse Show. It’s an important zone that educates children about these wonderful animals.
DEWA – A representative from the authority will introduce latest initiatives by DEWA about ways to save electricity and water consumption.
All About Fruits – UniFruiti presents an exhibit that is all about fruit, showcases a special fruit of the week every week. Drop by to enjoy some tasty fresh fruit. There will be free brochures available for children to learn all about fruit.
Al Maidan: Yola – Where children can learn the art of traditional Arabic dancing, and enjoy presentations and displays from trained performers.
Sports Fun Zone – Buzzing with energy as children enjoy all the interactive sports games and activities that add so much more enjoyment for children and their parents.
West Food Court – Enjoy a wonderful selection of food and beverages all day and night.Central Zone
Girl’s Zone – Girls can enjoy handicrafts such as knitting and sewing with their friends where they can improve their design and creative skills
Baboghan Zone – Popular SpaceToon character, this zone provides children with the opportunity to meet this loveable cartoon character up close.
Father’s Majlis – A serene relaxation area for fathers where they can take a break from all the excitement, prior to rejoining their family.
Meet & Greet – Modhesh and up to 50 other characters will make appearances at designated times during the festival. Children and those young-at-heart can have their pictures taken with their favourite character and interact with them up close.
Modhesh Store – Bursting with Modhesh themed merchandise, it’s the perfect place to find your child’s favourite Modhesh toy.
Arts & Craft Zone – Children can enjoy creating art, weaving, furniture making and view the wonderful Art Gallery for children.
Play and Compete Interactive Stage – The world is their stage – children will be encouraged to play, perform and compete live on Modhesh World’s mini stage

The Dubai Mall hosts 3 million visitors over month-long shopping festival

The Dubai Mall, the world’s largest shopping and entertainment destination, hosted three million visitors over the one-month long shopping and entertainment extravaganza, which concludes today (Friday, May 29, 2009). Festival@The Dubai Mall attracted more than 750,000 visitors every week, strengthening sales across the mall’s 900 retail and F&B outlets.Marking the formal opening of the mall by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President & Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, the Festival@The Dubai Mall offered a diverse bouquet of bargain deals on global brands, ’Win Millions’ raffles, Bid 2 Win auctions for premium products, a Grand Bentley draw and mall-wide entertainment. One of the spectacular attractions during the festival was the unveiling of The Dubai Fountain, the world’s tallest performing fountain.Today (May 29, 2009), one lucky winner will get AED 1 million in cash prize at the ’Win Millions’ raffle. The Grand Bentley draw for the luxurious, four-door Bentley Continental Flying Spur will also be held, adding to the prize bonanzas offered on the final day.
